The Squirrel has gained a fantastic reputation for accommodating private functions, including weddings. Whether you need a quiet corner of the pub for a board meeting and buffet lunch, a pre-ordered meal for a special anniversary, or a spacious, yet intimate venue for your Wedding reception or Christening, then the Squirrel will meet your requirements.
Each function is tailor made to meet your individual requirements through close consultation with our managers and chef.
Coffee Mornings and Club Meetings
Our conservatory is an ideal location for meeting friends and colleagues for a coffee and a chat. With a wide selection of coffee & teas, there's something for everyone. We have closed off areas for private meetings and our large car parks make us ideal for bigger groups.
Board Meetings
The Squirrel is currently the regular home of numerous companies for their board meetings. Tailor made to meet your requirements, standard service includes morning tea & coffee, followed by a buffet lunch. The conservatory offers peace and privacy away from the hustle and bustle of a busy lunch time and allows you to set up flip charts and presentation screens without interfernce. We can also provide a selction of fresh sandwiches and chips as a lighter option for an evening meeting..
Anniversary Parties
We've all experienced going out with the family for a meal, and suffering at the handsof mixed up orders, missing food and lack of "elbow room". The Squirrel removes this fear. Tables of up to 30 people can be booked for a three-course meal at any time of the day. Furthermore, we can e-mail you our current menu, so that an order can be placed in advance to ensure smooth and efficient service of your meal. So, whether you're celebrating a milestone birthday or similar anniversary, look no further. We're also happy to allow you to decorate your table with balloons and banners etc, as you see fit and will store cakes in our cold room until you are ready for them to be presented.
Wedding Parties
With a spacious private conservatory and eight rooms available for travelling guests, we offer everything you could want, other than the Vicar! Over the years, a great number of newly-weds have toasted their new union with us, and enjoyed a tailor-made party. We can offer a sit down meal or a buffet for your guests; or why not have both spread over the course of the day? For a summer wedding, you can take advantage of our BBQ menu, where you have your own private chef and marquee leading from the conservatory, providing you with your own outside area.
